The 911 terrorist attack in the United States, on Saturday, was the 20th anniversary of this shocking historical event. At that time, the twin-star building in the New York World Trade Center was hit and collapsed by the civilian attacks and killed 2,996 people.
20 years later, an engineer recalled that he had collapsed and people had stalled from the 18th floor. Although the miracle still existed, the horror scenes are still difficult to erase. He even said that he had been pretending to be able to install it since the incident, but he had a deep sense of guilt for his difficult colleagues.
"I tried hard to understand why I survived, but no one else had it." Pasquale, a structural engineer at the New York and New Zealand Port Bureau in New York Buzzelli recalled the 9/11 terrorist attack that year, and he was a few survivors.
According to the report of "Washington Examiner", Buzzelli, 34, went to work at the Shizixing Building on the World Trade Center that morning. Just as he was preparing to work at the 64th floor of the North Tower, at 8:46, the first aircraft crashed into the building. The elevator was shaking violently. While Buzzelli and the crowd were full of questions and asked "what happened" in each face, they also felt that the elevator was stalling and getting off the wall.
"Oh my god, a plane crashed into your office building." When Buzzelli finally called his wife to report safety after being trapped from the elevator, his wife's tight words reminded him that there was a shocking "accident" when he left the office on the 29th floor of his building.
Buzzelli suddenly felt like "death to the point of death". He grabbed the briefcase and climbed the stairs down the building. At this time, the South Tower of Shizixing was also hit by another passenger machine and collapsed at 9:59. Although Buzzelli and the crowd in the North Tower tried to escape from the building on foot, there were too many people and too much, and the building began to sway, which made the escape speed very slow.
When he fled down to the 22nd floor, something unfortunate happened. The building was shaking violently and heavy objects fell. The walls and floors beside Buzzelli began to crack. He closed his eyes in a subconscious and scared manner, curled himself in the corner like a baby, feeling huge concrete hit him, and then fell.
I felt like there was a wild wind and sand around me, and then there were a few flashes of light after being hit by something. I really couldn't believe that I would never see my wife and unborn children again and died like this.
22 hours later, Buzzelli woke up from a tiller about three floors high. Except for him and one of the students, hundreds of people who just escaped together were killed.
"The smell and sound of that time are still unforgettable." Buzzelli said that the scene that day was like an unforgettable video, constantly replaying it in Buzzelli's brain.
Every time I think of all the 14 colleagues who worked with him at that time, Buzzelli said sadly, "I have been pretending since the incident, but in fact, I have always felt a deep and deep guilt for my colleagues who were suffering."
Being lucky enough to escape from the God of Death's finger, Buzzelli believes that maybe this is the expectation of the world for himself. I hope he can achieve something and become a better person, and he cherishes the days when he can live a safe life with his family.
