The Club World Cup Curse? Telegraph: Club World Cup increases injury risk, including Maduaike and Palmer

Arsenal player Maduaike is expected to be absent for about two months due to injury after participating in this summer's Club Cup. The Telegraph wrote that Maduaike's injury is regarded as the latest example of the "Football Cup curse".

This trend has caused many players who have participated in the event to suffer injuries, especially in clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester City, such as Palmer, Colville, Drapp and others.

Maduaike's injury also made England coach Tuchel's previous remarks particularly ironic. He had predicted that Arsenal would gain an advantage in the league because he did not participate in the Club World Cup. Now, although Arsenal has not participated, it has paid the price for the injury of new player Maduaike.

This series of injuries has triggered widespread criticism from famous football coaches, among which former Liverpool coach Klopp's words were the most intense, and his bombardment of the Club World Cup was a "meaningless event" and "the worst idea ever." Currently, with Maduaike's absence, Arsenal coach Arteta will rely on Saka, who has returned from injury, to fill his vacancy on the wing.
