The Jota silence ceremony was originally scheduled to be held before the Community Shield Cup last night, but due to the interference of a few fans, the ceremony was forced to end early. The Crystal Palace fans issued a statement and were deeply sorry for this behavior.

Regarding the incident during Jota's silence, the Crystal Palace fans' organization statement:

Many of our fans encountered difficulties when entering the court, and the security work was chaotic. Some fans did not know what was going on when entering the court.

We deeply apologize for this. We are very sorry that something like this happened.

We have maintained a good relationship with Liverpool fans for many years. We do not engage in offensive mourning behaviors, we care about our communities. As fans, we have a lot in common.

We believe that no one will deliberately interrupt the moment of silence.

Our hearts are with the brothers of Jota and their families.

However, some of our own fans said someone booed, which was really disappointing.

Jota's death shocked us and we could not believe that anyone would boo any mourning for him, especially our fans.

We cannot speak for those people, but we apologize for their actions. We are deeply sorry for this. ❤️💙
