The Sun: Gittens’ injury is not serious and he has been allowed to stay in England U21

According to the "Sun" report, Gittens' injury is not serious and he is allowed to continue to stay in England U21.

Gittens limped off the pitch during England U21's 2-0 win over Ireland U21. The player was replaced by Josh King, who was still suffering from the effects of a vicious tackle previously. Gittens was visibly limping and looking uncomfortable before walking straight into the tunnel.

This has sparked concerns that Gittens, one of only six full-time players in Chelsea's matchday squad so far this season, may become the latest member to be added to the injury list. However, it was revealed that Gittens said this morning that there were no problems with his injury. He will travel to Slovakia with the team to continue participating in the U21 European Cup qualifiers.

This news is a huge relief to Maresca, as it is to Lee Carsley. Chelsea have been hit by Pedro Neto's groin problem, which has forced him to withdraw from the Portugal international. Palmer is not expected to be fit in time for next week's Premier League trip to Burnley.
