The Sun reported that fans will have to pay nearly £770 to play a friendly match with Manchester United legend Scholes.
The Manchester United Triple Champions League meritorious player will participate in a one-hour five-a-side match, with 15 players forming a team lineup and rotating every three minutes, which means it is difficult for paid participants to play with their idols. The
event is scheduled to be held on September 3 at the Rooftop Stadium of the Manchester Football Hotel, which is owned by Scholes' former Manchester United teammates Gary Neville and Giggs. Tickets for £750 plus £18.75 service fee are now sold out. The package includes a photo opportunity with 50-year-old Scholes, a signature and a burger and fries set.
A fan told the Sun: "Every Manchester United fan dreams of playing with heroes, but they can only look forward to 'Ferguson time' now and strive to play with Scholes for a few more minutes."
Scholes played for the Red Devils for nearly 20 years until 2013, and scored more than 150 goals in his career. As a legendary member of the 92 class, he won 11 Premier League championships, 3 FA Cups, 2 UEFA Champions League, 2 League Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup and 1 FIFA Club World Cup. He has served as interim coach of Salford City for a short time, and has been holding shares in the club with Neville and Giggs until 2025. He has now become a football commentator.
