Stones and Rice accepted an exclusive interview with ITV and they talked about some topics about the England team.
Which word best defines this head coach? Charming, fanatical or fearless.
Stones: I think he has all three.
What is his most outstanding characteristic when working with him?
Stones: I think it’s his passion and his attention to detail. He notices every detail.
Rice: And the way he trusts our players. He gives you that confidence to go out there and play, and he knows the quality we have.
From a tactical perspective, what does Thomas Tuchel value most? Strength, dominance or intelligence.
Stones: I would say intensity, because intensity naturally brings dominance. Then it depends on whether we have the intelligence to go out there and play football.
What do you think is the most distinctive feature of the team you have established so far?
Rice: Running ability, and everyone’s aggressiveness. Tuchel attaches great importance to this. We practice high pressing and if you look at all his past teams, they have been very, very high intensity teams and I think he has really instilled that in here. It took us some time in training to gradually get in tune and get into the groove. But I think now, you can see from the past few games, we are suffocating the opponent and getting the ball back on the edge of the opponent's penalty area.
Describe Harry Kane in one word. Extraordinary. Unstoppable is still the greatest.
Stones: I choose "Extraordinary" because he is not over yet.
Rice: I chose "Unstoppable" because he's not over yet (laughing). He seems to evolve every season, doesn't he? Even in training, his level is amazing. The way he shoots with his left and right foot is just horrific. But when it comes to evolution, I think he is the only forward I have seen in all the years of playing football who can drop back to the central defender position to receive the ball. At the same time, his shooting skills are also superb, and he can also use pure skills to kick a 60-yard long pass to the right winger.
