Joe Cole talked about his old club Chelsea when he was a guest on TNT Sports. He said that after losing to Sunderland, Chelsea seemed unable to compete for the championship.
Joe Cole said: "Chelsea should be challenging for the title, but if you can't win a game like this against Sunderland at home, it doesn't look likely."
"On paper, this team is still very young and the players will be better when they are 23-24 years old than when they are 20 years old, but having senior players around you can learn a lot of lessons."
"They are. There's actually investment in an experiment, by buying young players, committing to young players, so we'll see how it goes in two years. The club has invested a huge amount of money and it's a five-year plan and they should be challenging for the title next season and then the next season they need to win trophies. "I think it's fair, it's not that I'm putting undue pressure on them."
