What should I do if a cat has a bad temper? How to make it soft and gentle! Cats are timid and afraid of things. Many times they attack humans for self-defense. However, some cats have natural bad tempers, which requires training from our acquired masters to make cats more reasonable. So what should we do when facing cats with bad tempers?

1. Cat temper

Some cats give warnings before getting angry, such as roaring with a low roar, swaying their tails, or trembling their skin. But some cats will attack without warning. In short, you have to know if the cat you are holding is the kind of cat with an offensive tendency.

What is more confusing is that some cats will suddenly attack (bite people) when they are being caressed. This kind of cat sat on your knees a minute ago and enjoyed your caressing, then suddenly turned his head and sniffed it to your hand! Unfortunately, there is such a cat named Henry in my clinic. Most of this behavior occurs in male cats, and the reason is still unknown. There are two theories: 1. The cat is annoyed by being touched, but she doesn't know how to tell you, so she bites you. 2 The cat was so comfortable to touch. The cat fell asleep and was suddenly awakened again. He found that his movement was limited, so he bit it down.

The cat's offensive behavior is because of her fear. Talking to the cat softly, and moving slowly can help relieve this emotion.

Like humans, some cats will change the target of her attack - the cat is angry with something else, but she exudes her anger on her owner or other cats. For example, your cat hears or smells messages from other cats outdoors, feels threatened, but catches and bites you. If something like this happens, the owner can cut off the cat's source of stress or use a water gun on an angry cat.

Offensive behavior may also be caused by diseases and neurological diseases. If your cat has a very abrupt behavior change and becomes aggressive, you should take her to the hospital for a checkup.

2. How to correct the bad temper of a cat

1. If it is a lonely old cat, you might as well add a kitten to it. Because one old and one young are more likely to accept each other, but it should be noted that the kitten should be taken home by someone an old cat never knows. This person appears in the hope that the old cat will not associate you with the kitten and become jealous.

2. If an old cat is hostile to a kitten, you might as well call the kitten "the old cat's kitten" because this can create a positive connection between them. Secondly, when talking to the kitten, you should talk to the old cat at the same time so that the old cat can be devoted and have normal contact with the kitten, so as to cultivate their feelings.

3. If a cat is particularly nervous about someone, you might as well call this person a cat, such as "This is the cat's Lily, it is the Lily's cat." Connect them together. This will dispel the cat's nervousness and anxiety about the person, but it needs to be practiced repeatedly.

4. Cats are easily affected by their owner's emotions. As a master, you should do more stress-reducing exercises and activities to make both you and the cat relax.

5. Some owners will go to pet hospitals and use sedatives to control the cat's emotions. However, if you try sedatives alone, this is a treatment method that does not cure the root cause. To be effective, the cat's behavior must be reconstructed and supplemented with sedatives, so as to help the cat and reduce the behavior that triggers its aggressiveness.

6. Music also has a relaxing effect on cats and can reduce their aggressive behavior. So, you can play your music with gentle background music, which also has the effect of soothing the cat.

7. When a cat feels nervous, it will naturally attack its enemies with its claws, so you should cut the cat's nails frequently. When cutting, it is best to hold it with another person to attract its attention.

Generally speaking, cats do not actively attack their owners. Most of them are threatened or frightened. The cats will fight back. Therefore, in life, try not to do anything that affects the cat's emotions to avoid accidents.
