When I first started raising a pet dog, I didn’t know whether it was full or not every time I fed the dog. If the dog eats less, the owner will worry. If the dog eats too much, the pet owner will still worry that it will affect the dog's health.
How much should a dog eat in one meal? To be precise, there is no unified standard. Therefore, it is necessary to determine through the owner's careful observation. So in life, how should we judge whether the dog is full?
Touch method
The touching place is of course the dog's abdomen. Every time the pet dog finishes eating, he will touch its belly with his hands. The method of judgment is that if the dog's abdomen is full, it means that the diet is just right; if the dog's belly is a little shrunk, it means that the dog has not eaten enough; on the contrary, if the dog's abdomen is bloated, it means that the dog is eating too much. According to the touch situation, then adjust the dog's diet reasonably.
Viewing defecation
Observing mainly focuses on observing the dog's defecation. There are several criteria for such a judgment method. First of all, under normal circumstances, we should look at whether the dog's defecation time is regular; secondly, we should look at the dog's excretion every time.
Under normal circumstances, dogs' excrement should be moderately soft and hard to pick up from the floor, and the color is yellowish (some may also change according to changes in food).
On the contrary, if the dog's excrement is hard and granular, it means that the food you feed is relatively small; if the dog's excrement is relatively sparse, it means that the food you usually have is relatively large. Just adjust the diet of the pet dog according to this standard.
Observation method
If the dog is still anxious and unhappy after eating, and is circling around you, it means that the food you are putting may not be enough. If the dog looks very satisfied after eating, and wipes his face on his own, shakes his head and tail to the side to rest or play, it means that it is full. In addition, if the dog hides food, it means that there is already an oversupply of food and the owner needs to pay attention.
