If the saddest thing in a person's life is falling in love with the wrong person, then the saddest thing in a pet's life is probably falling in love with the wrong owner. However, this is unavoidable. As pets, they are never qualified to choose their owners. No matter how beautiful a pet is in appearance, how valuable its breed, or how loving its personality is... as long as the owner gives the order, pets cannot escape the fate of being abandoned.
Because in today's era, it is really easy to get a pet, but abandoning a pet only takes a moment. One second, the furry child may be a cute little one who is loved by thousands of people, and the next second, he will become a stray animal that everyone dislikes and avoids.

In mid-December this year, an animal protection agency received a request for help. The person asking for help said she had a blue cat there and asked if the rescue center would accept it.
The staff were a little surprised, because most of the time, the requests they received were about pastoral cats and dogs. Very few breeds of cats and dogs were abandoned, but it was not ruled out that some seriously ill breeds of cats and dogs were abandoned because their owners did not want to be treated.
After arriving at the scene, the staff were shocked by the scene in front of them. In a house full of garbage and exuding a disgusting smell, a very thin little blue cat lay helplessly on an old wooden shelf.
The person asking for help is the landlord of the house. According to her, as early as a week ago, she discovered that the tenant had blocked her. When the landlord opened the door to check the house, she found that the building was already empty and the tenant had secretly moved out behind her back.
The landlord does not need to pursue the furniture damaged by the cat. What makes her most angry is that the tenant actually left the pet cat alone in the house without telling anyone. The landlord felt that if he had come a little later, the little guy might have died.
I thought that the cat left in the house for a week would resent or be afraid of humans because it was abandoned by its owner. But when the volunteer called the cat, the little guy ran to him resolutely.
After contacting the owner many times to no avail, the landlord did not have the energy to take care of the cat, so he asked for help. The cat was first sent to a pet hospital for a physical examination. The results showed that the furry child was in good health.
Many people may wonder, are there really healthy breeds of cats that have been abandoned? Friends who are engaged in rescue work told me that there are indeed, but relatively few.
Reasons for abandonment include moving, and the new landlord does not allow pets; or the owner has left the local area and has no time to check in the pet. Some reasons are even more outrageous. The owner feels that raising a pet is time-consuming and laborious, or thinks the pet has a bad personality, etc. The owner doesn't even have time to find a new owner for the pet. To put it bluntly, the owner is irresponsible.
The little blue cat has a really docile personality. I don’t know if the owner’s departure has dealt a blow to its young heart. It is worried that it will be abandoned again. The little guy follows the volunteer almost all the time. Even when sleeping, he has to hold the volunteer’s arm and never let go, for fear that when he opens his eyes, that person is no longer around.
It is easy for healthy breed cats in rescue centers to find their owners. Since the news about the little blue cat was sent out, many people have expressed their desire to adopt this little guy.
After strict screening, the staff found a reliable owner for the cat. The new owner's family conditions are good and the house is large. Most importantly, he already has a blue cat at home and has enough experience in raising cats.
When a cat comes to a new home, even if it has a big bed that is several times larger than itself, it still likes to stay by its owner's side, holding its arms and acting coquettishly. This is probably the "sequelae" of a cat being abandoned!
Perhaps the little blue cat did not meet a good owner in the first half of its life, but with the help of many kind people, the cat still found the most suitable owner. Someone will be responsible for the second half of this cat's life!
We don’t know why the original owner left the cat alone. No matter what the reason was, it was not the reason for him to abandon the pet. Is it so difficult to find a new adopter for the cat? Wouldn't the original owner really feel guilty if he abandoned a pet that he had been with for so long and left it to fend for itself?
There is an old saying that "dogs don't mind the family's poverty." This saying actually applies to many domestic animals. Pets have never disliked their owners. They just hope that their owners can stay with them for a long time. Therefore, as a host, please shoulder your due responsibilities!
