01 What is hydatosis?
This is its true body!
(Echinococcusia)
One of the most overlooked tropical diseases
hydatosis, also known as echinococcosis, is a parasitic disease caused by the infection of the human body by the larvae of echinococcosis.
is the most harmful chronic parasitic disease among human tapeworm diseases. It, schistosomiasis and malaria are listed as the three important parasitic diseases in our country.
02 Classification of hydatosis
hydatosis is divided into two categories: cystic hydatosis and vesicular hydatosis. The northwestern my country is one of the areas with high incidence of hydatosis, mainly seen in Sichuan, Tibet, Xinjiang, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and other places.
Hydactydia has a long incubation period, and the course of the disease is mostly between 5 and 10 years old, and most of the patients are young and middle-aged people aged 20 to 40. The lesions are mainly located in the liver and can affect multiple organs at the same time. They are mainly chronically consumed, causing patients to lose their ability to work. Patients with advanced liver hydatosis are extremely thin or bloated like bloating. The 10-year mortality rate of patients with untreated vesicular hydatosis is as high as 94%, which is called "worm cancer".
03 Sources of infection and transmission routes
People will not be infected with each other and will not be inherited.
Adults of hydatosis mainly parasitize in the intestines of dogs, foxes, wolves and other animals.
Dogs are an important end host of Echinococcus and the main source of infection. When humans and dogs are in close contact, their fingers are contaminated by the eggs on the dog's fur: insect eggs-hands-enter the human body through the mouth.
The insect eggs in dog feces contaminate vegetables, other foods and water sources, especially zoonotic water sources, resulting in: insect eggs - food or water - entering the human body or domestic animals through the mouth.
04 How to find out if you have hydatosis in time?
There are no clinical manifestations in the early stage of hydatosis, which are difficult for patients to detect. They can be determined through B-ultrasound, X-ray, blood tests and other means. The ultrasound image of hydatum cyst is characteristic, and the B-ultrasound diagnosis compliance rate is more than 98%.
05 Cure and relapse
Cure: The condition of hydatum disease can be divided into severity. Most hydatum diseases can be improved and cured through early effective treatment.
Recurrence: If patients with hydatid disease are not treated in time, or if the disease is severe and cannot undergo radical treatment, they may recur.
