I decided to adopt after looking at the photos. When I picked up the dog, I was shocked to find that only half of its face was left! Never give up and take it everywhere to seek medical treatment

This dog with only half of its face is impressive. It is called Sky. It was attacked with a shovel while living on the street a few years ago. Half of its face was chopped off. Its right eye, right ear and zygomatic arch were all missing, and some of its teeth were exposed. In pain, Sky found a place to hide and endured the pain quietly until he was discovered by a passerby. Passersby said that there was necrotic tissue hanging from the right side of Sky's face, and his empty eye sockets were filled with hair and weeds, making him look very scary.

Passers-by took Sky to a local shelter. After the shelter posted Sky's photos and information on its website, a German family quickly contacted them and expressed interest in adopting Sky. However, the photos on the website only show the normal side of Sky and do not show the necrotic right side.

The day the new owner came to take Sky home, he was shocked to see the dog with half of his face missing! But the kind-hearted family did not give up on Sky because of this. They even took Sky to seek medical treatment. However, almost all veterinarians recommended that they euthanize Sky. In the end, the new owner had no choice but to turn to a Spanish rescue organization, Let's Adopt International Extreme Rescue.

The rescue organization found that Sky could not open his mouth at all. They had to remove several teeth and create a gap for him to eat. During this time, Sky could only eat pureed food. However, this still could not save Sky's life. After the medical team took a computed tomography scan on Sky, they began to perform a series of difficult reconstructive surgeries. Fortunately, the surgery was very successful, and Sky was very cooperative during the recovery period. She was neither noisy nor fussy, and was very well-behaved and heart-warming.

The day Sky was returned to its new owner, the entire medical team cried, and the new owner also cried with joy. Sky quickly became involved with another dog in the family. Even though he lost half of his face, he could still fight for toys with his companions, run wildly on the grassland, and act coquettishly to his owner... Sky's happy life as a dog has finally arrived.
