How to solve the habit of cats eating randomly?

Under normal circumstances, cats will only eat normal foods. If the cat starts to eat some unconventional foods, then you need to pay attention. Cats generally have three abnormal feeding behaviors: anorexia, bulimia and pica. There are many potential threats in these three behaviors. Anorexia can lead to cats being thin and internal dysfunction; bulimia can lead to cats being overly obese; pica can easily lead to cats being stuck in foreign bodies or food poisoning when eating randomly. Therefore, it should be corrected in a timely manner.

1. Anorexia cats manifest as lack of appetite and even refuse to eat. This situation may be that the food utensils or feeding locations are unclean or the food is unclean. The clean feeding locations and food should be replaced. Another situation is respiratory disease. After taking medical measures, cats should be forced to eat with delicious food, which will cause appetite.

2. A cat with bulimia will not have much impact on the body when it starts to show. But after a period of time, it will cause obesity. At this time, on the one hand, the cat should increase its exercise volume, and on the other hand, it should feed it low-calorie food. Hunger therapy and diet therapy should be used under the advice of a pet doctor. Do not try it yourself, as it will have adverse consequences for the cat.

3. A pica cat is transformed into something other than a normal diet. We often find cats chewing on their own plants or chewing yarn, etc. The first method is to make it produce conditioned reflexes. When the cat is eating foreign objects, it can spray water or yell at it to scare it. In this way, the cat will correct its pica after a few times. Or you can apply odors that cats often like to lick, such as vinegar, deodorant, etc. Cats will quit pica because they hate this odor. But it won't succeed in one go, so you must try a few more times.
